The fourth edition of In the Middle, the extended executive education series designed for middle managers of Delmar DivINe partner organizations, returns to Delmar DivINe Fall 2024.
Middle management is a mission critical and challenging professional role. Middle managers are problem-solvers, operating at the crossroads of strategic thinking and operational performance. They have complex and often competing accountabilities: up to their own supervisors; down to their direct reports; and sideways to other managers. They usually must balance those managerial responsibilities with their own direct programmatic or administrative tasks. They are the critical ingredient in employee performance, engagement and satisfaction. They rely on strong inter-personal skills, technical know-how, creativity, agility and resilience to thrive in the hectic environment of a nonprofit organization.
In the Middle is designed to provide middle managers (new, recent and veteran) with enhanced knowledge, new perspectives and strengthened skills.
